The African champions were supposed to take on Jordan on December 16th but the game was called off all of a sudden on Saturday.

However, EFA was quick to find another team and now the Egypt-Qatar friendly is scheduled for the same date.

"We were in talks with Qatar and Kuwait and eventually we reached an agreement with the former," EFA president Samir Zaher told FilGoal.com.

On why the Jordan game was cancelled, he said: "There were some disagreements with the company that was responsible for marketing the match."

Egypt, who claimed a morale-boosting 3-0 home victory over Australia in another friendly early this month, should hold a training camp starting December 11th in order to prepare for their match with Qatar.
