Despite playing down the Merreikh link last week, Al-Hadari said on his personal website on Tuesday that officials from Sudan have arrived in Cairo to talk to Zamalek.

While the 37-year-old keeper is desperate to leave the club, Zamalek chairman Galal Ibrahim welcomes his departure, provided that the offer from Khartoum was acceptable.

“We would certainly allow Al-Hadari to join Merreikh, especially after he fell out with the management and missed training repeatedly,” the interim Zamalek chief told FilGoal.com.

“We are still waiting for the talks to get official, but we will not let him go unless there’s a good offer on the table.”

Merreikh’s interest in Al-Hadari’s services initially took place in January when the Egypt guardian was in a similar want-out plea with Ismaili.

The controversial keeper has also been in a strong link with Harras Hodoud after insisting he would never play for Zamalek under the management of Hossam Hassan.

In the meantime, Al-Hadari is on a four-month ban that ends by February 2011.
