Merreikh's board of directors informed their Zamalek counterparts that they want to land goalie Essam Al-Hadari on a loan basis for one year.

The Egypt international has been desperate to leave the Cairo club after falling out with twin brothers Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan, head coach and football director respectively.

Zamalek said they would accept the Sudanese outfit's offer provided that they meet their financial demands.

The White Knights have put hefty price tags on Al-Hadari's head.

"They want to sign Al-Hadari for one season on loan," Zamalek interim chairman Galal Ibrahim told FilGoal.com.

"We informed them of what we want and it's non-negotiable. They have to pay one million dollars to acquire his services.

"If they decide to complete a permanent deal, they will have to pay two million dollars."

Merreikh's interest in Al-Hadari was first revealed in January when the 37-year-old was in a similar want-out plea with Ismaili.

The controversial keeper has also been strongly linked with Harras Hodoud of late after stressing he would never play for Zamalek under the management of the Hassan twins.

Al-Hadari is still serving the four-month ban he was handed by FIFA.

The highly-rated guardian, who turns 38 in January, was suspended and fined by the world governing body for violating his contract with Ahli in 2008 to join Swiss side Sion.

He lodged an appeal against the ban, which ends by February 2011, but it was turned down by the Swiss Federal Court.
