The Cairo derby clash between Ahli and Zamalek will be played on December 30th instead of 31st, the Egyptian FA announced on Sunday.

The FA website said that the match has been rescheduled for ‘security reasons’ without specifying details.

The highly-anticipated match has been originally scheduled for the 28th of November, but was postponed due to the People’s Assembly elections.

Zamalek are currently in charge of the Egyptian Premier League table on 27 points, eight ahead of their arch-rivals Ahli, who have a game in hand against Harras Hodoud.
