Ittihad boss Mohamed Amer confirmed he will not be making any changes to his squad during the upcoming winter transfer break in order to preserve the team’s shape.

“Changing a number of players and replacing them when the transfer window opens has affected the team badly in recent seasons,” Amer, who took over from Carlos Cabral last month, told FilGoal.com.

“I don’t want to repeat this because the players need to get used to each other, to the club and to my style of playing.

“This squad possesses what I want. We have three decent foreigners and I don’t think the market has players with much quality in the meantime.”

Ittihad, who finished last season in 10th place, are currently third from bottom in the Egyptian Premier League.
