Ajax advance in cup, Mido benched again

A 1-0 victory over AZ Alkmaar was enough to give De Boer his third win in a row with Ajax, who had Miralem Sulejmani to thank for the winner.

Egyptian Mido, who returned to training this week after being hit by flu, remained as an unused sub despite the absence of strike pair Mounir El Hamdaoui and Luis Suarez.

De Boer has once again decided to give the nod to 19-year-old forward Lorenzo Ebecilio.
