“Saidawi will join us in training starting from Tuesday,” Zamalek goalkeeping coach Emad Al-Mandouh told FilGoal.com.

Zamalek have been looking for a goalkeeper to back up Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed following the departure of Essam Al-Hadari after a rift with Al-Mandouh late in 2010.

The Cairo club were on the verge of signing Palestine’s number one Ramzi Saleh from Sudan’s Merreikh last month, but couldn’t agree terms with the former Ahli keeper.

Saidawi, who plays second fiddle to Saleh in the Palestine team, is currently under contract with local outfit Hilal Al-Quds.
