Toulan was quoted as telling Modern Kora’s Ahmed Shobeir that the Ahli defender revealed his interest in joining Petrojet in a friendly phone call last year.

However, Al-Sayed was quick to reject Toulan’s claim on the same TV show, stressing that he is happy at Ahli.

“I met Toulan at a wedding a few months ago and at that time I wasn’t playing regularly. So he asked me: ‘Why don’t you join us?’ and that’s it?” Al-Sayed said.

“It is untrue that I called him. I am a leader at Ahli and I am happy here. If I wanted to leave I would never call another manager to do so.”

Al-Sayed, who extended his contract with Ahli in April 2010, is tied with the Red Devils until 2012.
