The Egyptian Premier League resumes after 20-day stoppage, with petroleum duo Petojet and ENPPI to lock horns in a battle for a top-four place on Thursday.

The competition was halted because of the Nile Basin tournament, which Egypt won upon defeating Uganda 3-1 on January 17th.

ENPPI are seeking to move from third to second spot while sixth-placed Petrojet hope to edge closer to the summit.

For Walid Soliman and Ahmed Shaaban the game will be a special occasion as they face their former team Petrojet for the first time after moving to ENPPI in the summer.

Both teams played out goalless draws in their previous two league meetings last season.

Elsewhere, Arab Contractors will host Ittiahd in a relegation dogfight.

Ittihad, who have only won a couple of games so far this term, are languishing at the bottom of the table while the Mountain Wolves lie 14th.

"Only victory will be satisfactory for us because we need to move up. All players are concentrating on the match and want to win," Ittihad's assistant coach Mohamed Nour told FilGoal.com.

Another match will take place in Alexandria between promoted sides Smouha and Wadi Degla.

Smouha have been maintaining a praiseworthy form under Hamza Al-Gamal, who took charge of the team following the sacking of two coaches this season.

In the fourth match, Gaish will be hoping to claim all three points at Gouna in attempt to move to the top half of the table.
