Zamalek striker Amr Zaki is seeking to get back in Egypt's fold in the wake of his return from injury.

The former Wigan Athletic star was nursing a niggling knee problem over the past couple of months before making his comeback in Zamalek's 8-0 friendly win over Kaha on Monday.

Now Zaki is aiming to regain his regular berth with the Pharaohs.

"I'm ready to play for the national team again," the 27-year-old, who was part of the African champions' 2006 and 2008 triumphant Nations Cup campaigns, told FilGoal.com.

"I will take part in more than one friendly with Zamalek as well as their Champions League match with Ulinzi Stars, and that should help me get back to my best."
