The domestic competition could well be called off due to security worries in Egypt after the recent revolt that forced president Hosni Mubara to step down.

The same circumstances could prevent Ismaili from taking part in the African tournament.

"The possible cancelation of the league could prompt us to drop out of the Confederation Cup," coastal club president Nasser Aboul-Hassan told FilGoal.com.

"The same circumstances will be there when we have to play in Ismailia.

"The clubs' representatives will meet with Egyptian FA officials on Sunday to discuss the possibility of continuing the league."
