The famous twins were among other celebrities who disparaged the revolt that recently overthrew the former Egyptian president.
Both men even took part in a pro-Mubarak march, which prompted many of Zamalek's fans to call for their departure.
Ibrahim, Zamalek's football director, once urged Egyptian authorities to enclose the protestors in Tahrir Square to prevent them from getting any water, food or medical supplies.
Ironically, he stated after Mubarak was toppled that he was not against the revolution. Shortly afterwards, his brother and Zamalek manager Hossam hit out at the previous government.
"Me and my brother Ibrahim suffered from unfairness more than anyone, thanks to the previous system," Hossam said.
"We are no symbols of corruption. We didn't benefit from the regime like (steel mogul) Ahmed Ezz for instance.
"We were honored everywhere around the world, except in our country."
Almost all the celebrities who were supporting Mubarak during the revolution reversed their stance right after he stepped down on February 11th.
