The 20-year-old, who impressed in the Reds’ recently friendly tour, requires a cast around his kneecap, according to first-team doctor Walid Abdul-Baki.

“He needs a cast after injuring his knee against Qadsia. He will be out for about six weeks,” the Ahli doctor said.

Meanwhile, in-form striker Dominique da Silva and captain Hossam Ghaly have both sustained minor injuries in Monday’s training, but should be fit for the next match against Supersport United.

Ahli visit the South African champions on March 18 in their first competitive game in two months.
