Ahli are willing to maintain their pursuit of ENPPI playmaker Walid Soliman with the registration window set to re-open for an exceptional period.

The Egyptian FA will allow clubs to register new players from the 9th of April until the 13th, following the political turmoil that took place during the winter break.

After they added Dominique da Silva and Emad Meteb to their roster in January, Egyptian champions Ahli are now looking for another mega signing.

“Everyone knows we’ve been interested in Soliman since a while and I think he would like to join us as well,” Ahli football director Sayed Abdul-Hafiz told FilGoal.com.

“We are considering re-opening negotiations with him, but right now we are only focused on the Supersport game.”

Ahli, who host Supersport United of South Africa in the Champions League this weekend, made several attempts to sign Soliman from Petrojet during the past two seasons.

The Egypt international eventually opted to join ENPPI, but the uncertainty surrounding the future of petroleum clubs could force him to reconsider his options.
