The Cairo side slumped to a 4-2 defeat at Club Africain in the CAF Champions League round of 32 on Sunday.

Zamalek's players who were not named for the clash were supposed to play against Abha but now the game is expected to be called off.

"We should have traveled to Saudi Arabia right away (Monday) but as a result of flight problems, the contingent decided to get back to Cairo," Zamalek chairman Galal Ibrahim told FilGoal.com.

"(Marketing and public relations director) Ashraf Sobhi will be looking into the possibility of setting off on Tuesday.

"If not, we won't be able to play the match."

Zamalek are seeking to play a number of friendly matches these days to improve match fitness, after the Egyptian Premier League stoppage took a toll on the team.
