Tottenham winger Pienaar was doubtful for the match, which takes place at Ellis Park, due to a niggling groin injury.
However, the 29-year-old revealed Wednesday that he would feature against the Pharaohs in what he described as South Africa's 'biggest game' after the 2010 World Cup.
Mido, who hasn't received an Egypt call-up for quite some time, believes Pienaar is the most capable Bafana player, saying that keeping him at bay would give Egypt the edge.
"The South Africa game is not as hard as some people think," the towering hitman told FilGoal.com.
"Pienaar is their strongest player and if he's closely marked, Egypt will get the upper hand in the match."
Mido also shrugged off the fact that South Africa had hosted two major tournaments in the 2009 Confederations Cup and the World Cup the next year.
"As a matter of fact, I think the experience factor will make Egypt superior over the home side," the former Ajax man concluded.
African champions Egypt, who are languishing at the bottom of Group G on one point, need to beat leaders South Africa in order to revive their qualification hopes.
