Ismaili board is set to have an emergency meeting to discuss the future of coach Mark Wotte following the team’s shock exit from the African Confederation Cup.
The Dervishes succumbed to a thumping 4-0 defeat at Kenya’s Sofapaka to lose the round of 32 tie 4-2 on aggregate and wave goodbye to the competition.
Board member Atef Zayed said that the meeting will take place immediately after the squad’s return from Nairobi this week.
Wotte helped Ismaili finish the first half of the Egyptian Premier League season in second place, only three points behind leaders Zamalek.
It has yet to be decided whether the 2010-2011 season will be resumed or not though.
