Ahli coach Manuel Jose vows not to get involved in media mind games with arch-rivals Zamalek, following the recent exchange of words with Ibrahim Hassan.

The Portuguese was quoted a few days ago as telling Ahli’s website that he ‘will personally salute Zamalek if they win the league for the first time after six seasons’.

Zamalek football director Hassan replied saying he assures Jose that his side will win the league and that he is waiting for the Ahli boss’ congratulations.

“I refuse to make a comment because I have no time for such conversations,” Jose told FilGoal.com on Wednesday.

“From now on I will only focus on my team as I don’t want to get embroiled in arguing with others.”

Jose’s Ahli are now seven points behind Egyptian Premier League leaders Zamalek, but the defending champions have a chance to close the gap when they visit Masri on Friday.
