Essam Al-Hadari dished out a rare assist to help his Sudanese side Merreikh beat Ittihad Medani 2-1.
The Egyptian goalkeeper sent a long-range pass from his own area to the opposite box, only for Ahmed Al-Basha to control and slots the winner home in the 66th minute.
Zambian striker Jonas Sakuwaha had previously grabbed the lead for Merreikh in the fourth minute before an own goal leveled the scoreline midway through the first-half.
Merreikh, coached by former Ahli manager Hossam Al-Badri, maintained their position on top of the league table, six points clear from arch-rivals Hilal.
