The Dervishes, who said last week that they will put their faith in Egyptian referees in line with the spirit of the January 25 Revolution, were held to a 0-0 home draw with the league leaders on Monday.
Even though the dull affair didn’t witness much significant controversy, Ismaili were far from happy with the performance of referee Gehad Greisha.
"We regret having faith in a local referee for such a match. It should have been given to an overseas referee," Ismaili board member Atef Zayed told FilGoal.com.
"Greisha could have ruined the match as he infuriated the fans with his poor decisions throughout the 90 minutes."
Greisha cautioned Abdullah Saied, Abdullah Al-Shahhat and Amr Al-Sulaya during the match, leaving the international trio one booking away from suspension.
Meanwhile, Ismaili doctor Gamal Al-Talli revealed that striker Godwin Ndubuisi and full-back Ahmed Samir Farag picked up minor injuries during the game, but should be fit for the next week's visit to Smouha.
