"I want to play at the Champions League next season, this will keep me at Dortmund," Zidan told Dubai Sport TV on Wednesday.
Dortmund automatically qualified for the prestigious competition upon claiming the Bundesliga title, following a 2-0 victory over Nurnberg on Saturday.
Zidan, the first Egyptian player to win the Bundesliga title, revealed a while back that he wanted to join Egyptian champions Ahli after ending his spell in Germany.
However, the Egypt ace, whose deal with Dortmund runs out by the end of next term, didn't reiterate his intention of moving to the Red Devils during his brief interview with Dubai Sport TV.
Instead, the 29-year-old said he would love to 'sign for a Dubai-based club' at some point in the future, which raised questions over his next move.
Zidan's role in Dortmund's domestic campaign this term was negligible, thanks to the long-standing knee injury he suffered from last year.
The former Werder Bremen man was kept on the sidelines for seven months and struggled with match fitness afterwards.
Consequently, he played a handful of games this season, having been included in Dortmund's starting eleven only once.
