Egyptian Premier League title-hopefuls Ismaili were held to a 0-0 draw by MCDR on Sunday to lose their fifth point in a week.
An evenly-balanced contest at the Military Academy saw both goalkeepers dazzle between the posts to ensure the goalless stalemate.
Ismaili guardian Mohamed Fathi continued to impress in place of first-choice Mohamed Sobhi by making a string of fine stops, including a couple of crucial of saves to deny Hussein Hamdi.
At the other end, Mostafa Kamal also had a good game in goal to help newcomers MCDR maintain an impressive eight-match unbeaten.
Ismaili remain third on 39 points, seven behind leaders Zamalek, while MCDR keep their place in sixth with 31.
