Iraq striker Emad Mohamed stands firm by his decision to quit Zamalek because he cannot live in Cairo anymore.
The 28-year-old joined Zamalek last summer as he only made a couple of cameo appearances with Hossam Hassan’s side before being loaned out to Iran’s Shahin Bushehr in January.
After his loan had finished, Emad doesn’t seem to have any intention of returning to his parent club.
“Nothing has changed. My family and I cannot live in Cairo,” the Iraqi told Egyptian radio from his homeland.
“I have no problem whatsoever with the Zamalek management, it’s just impossible for me to play for a Cairo club now.
“I hope the Zamalek board can find me a suitable offer to leave.”
