Former Ahli man Hossam Al-Badri has resigned as Merreikh coach Friday midway through the season despite the team's run of satisfying results.
Al-Badri took charge of the Sudanese side in December after parting company with Cairo giants Ahli.
Under his management, Merreikh topped the Sudanese League table with 36 points, having registered 12 victories and slumped to only one loss.
Merreikh is also where Egypt goalie Essam Al-Hadari – another ex-Ahli man – is plying his trade.
