Zamalek midfielder Hani Saied says he has returned to training but remains subjected to a sanction for skipping a couple of sessions.
Football director Ibrahim Hassan revealed on Monday that the Egypt international informed the team’s medical staff that he is injured and will thus be absent form training for two days.
However, Hassan conceded that Saied has not been granted permission to skip training despite his injury and that a fine is likely to be imposed against him.
“I was injured and I couldn’t train so I thought of using the holiday we were given after the MCDR match,” Saied told FilGoal.com.
“I am not boycotting training like some have claimed. In fact I returned to training last night.”
Saied’s relationship with the Zamalek management has been a bit frosty this season after he had lost his place in Hossam Hassan’s starting eleven.
