Mido, who was cleared by Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to play for Zamalek this season, started warming up for league games by scoring in a friendly victory.

The Egyptian league leaders beat Goldy 3-0, with Mido scoring the second goal from a long-range drive.

Algerian striker Mohamed Aoudia headed the opener home in the 30th minute and Hazem Emam sealed the victory seven minutes from time.

Mido signed for Zamalek in January, after spending the firs half of the season with Dutch giants Ajax.

All sporting activities were halted by the end of the month due to the Egyptian revolution and a paperwork error barred Zamalek from registering the international striker.

The 28-year-old forward won't be available to play against Police Union on Thursday but will be ready to participate after this game.
