
The 18-year-old midfielder is facing a lengthy ban by the FA for his inappropriate behavior, which according to him, was the least he can do in return to the insults he received.
“Yes I made this gesture but I am human, there are limits for my tolerance and that was only a reaction against what they’ve done,” Ibrahim, who scored a stunning winner against Masri earlier this season, told FilGoal.com.
“When I went off, I was met by a shower of insults from the supporters of Masri, so I gave them the finger and that’s the least I can do from my place in response to their behavior.
“I am ready to accept any kind of sanction but in one condition, I hope the FA won’t just fine Masri for their fans’ behavior. They need to do more.
“We lived in a hostile atmosphere since arriving in Port-Said and if football will become like this, I am urging the authorities to prevent the game from being played in Egypt!”
