Zamalek boss Hassan Shehata is content with the team’s summer signings so far, implying that the board has almost met his demands.

The ex-Egypt manager threatened to pull out of the job if the Zamalek board failed to intensify the first-team squad ahead of next season.

But it seems that the Whites’ four recruits so far are about to encourage the Master to stay put.

“I am totally satisfied with the new signings made by the board upon my recommendation so far,” Shehata told Zamalek’s website.

“But I am still waiting for more quality players who are capable of lifting Zamalek.”

The recruitment of Egypt skipper Ahmed Hassan has been Zamalek’s major signing this summer, followed by Hussein Hamdi and Hani Saied (loan) from MCDR.

The Cairo side have also welcomed Ghana international defender Karimu Alhassan from Hearts of Oak this week.

Meanwhile, chairman Galal Ibrahim looks likely to back down on his decision to step down after wealthy businessman Omar Haridy injected EGP 5million to help in the club’s financial crisis.
