The Whites said on their website that they will maintain their pursuit for the 24-year-old attacking midfielder by the start of next week.

The announcement comes right after Zamalek’s recent bid to sign Awad turned unsuccessful as ENPPI refused to sell their star midfielder.

Awad has been one of ENPPI’s top players throughout the past couple of seasons, which saw him win his first Egypt call-up by Hassan Shehata.

It is believed that Shehata is the one who requested the signing of the former Arab Contractors youngster, as Zamalek are close to concluding their summer transfer deals.
