Zamalek full-back Mohamed Abdul-Shafi is set to miss Egypt’s friendly game with Brazil due to a hamstring problem.

“Abdul-Shafi pulled a hamstring in the Police Union game and will be out for two weeks,” Zamalek doctor Ayman Farid told FilGoal.com.

Abdul-Shafi was strongly tipped to start for the Pharaohs on November 14, with uncapped ENPPI full-back Mohamed Nassef the only other left back on the list.

Ahli’s Sayed Moawad, who has been Egypt’s first-choice left back in recent years, was overlooked by new manager Bob Bradley.

Meanwhile, Bradley said at a press conference that he has yet to decide on whether to call a replacement for Abdul-Shafi or stick with his current squad.

Scan for Zaki

It was also confirmed that striker Amr Zaki has become doubtful for the Brazil friendly with back and groin complaints.

Zaki was left out of Zamalek's squad for Thursday's game against Spanish giants Atletico Madrid in the Cairo club's centennial celebrations.

The 28-year-old should have a scan on his injury to determine if he can play for Egypt in Doha next week.
