Moawad has been struggling with a nagging foot problem since December and was forced to miss Ahli’s start of the season.

“Moawad is now fit to play matches. He has been training well and the decision to include him with the team is up to the manager,” Ahli doctor Ihab Ali told the club’s website.

Moawad’s absence gave his deputy Ahmed Shedid a chance to become first-choice left-back for club and country.

Veteran Moawad has over 55 caps for Egypt.
