Moatasem Salem's move to MCDR fell through all of a sudden as a result of a financial disagreement, FilGoal.com understands.
The Egypt defender was poised to join the promoted side as Ismaili accepted an EGP 3.25million bid from them on Monday.
One day later, However, MCDR's officials decided to back out back out of the deal after Salem called for more money.
The 30-year-old was supposed to get EGP 700.000 in the second half of the season while his annual salary in the next three terms was agreed to be 1.2 million.
But Salem insisted on getting one million this season and triple that amount per year later.
The sought-after player, whose contract with Ismaili runs out by the end of season, has been long targeted by Cairo duo Ahli and Zamalek.
