Ghaly, 31, signed for Belgian side Lierse a week ago on a free transfer after seeing out his contract with the Cairo giants.
Ahli, however, announced a day ago that they insist to have Ghaly on board in case the league resumed, stressing that his deal runs out by the end of the domestic season and not June 30.
"I will arrive on Wednesday and train with Ahli till the future of the league becomes clear," Ghaly told the club's website.
Ahli said that the midfielder is 'ready to play in the league playoffs'.
The future of the domestic league, halted due to the unrest in Egypt, remains under scrutiny as the FA has yet to get the green light from authorities to resume the competition.
