Ahli striker Emad Meteb could be out for up to one month after tearing his hamstring during Ahli's 2-0 opening league win over Military Production.

Meteb was forced off the pitch near the end of the first half as he was substituted by young forward Amr Gamal who hit Ahli's second of the night.

"Meteb has suffered a hamstring tear," Ahli doctor Ihab Ali told FilGoal.com.

"He will undergo further tests on Friday as his absence could well be between two to four weeks."

The Egypt striker has been already suffering a niggling back problem that ruled him out of action since last May, as he only made his comeback in Ahli's Club World Cup campaign last week.
