Ahli set to sign Farag on loan

Ahli have reached an initial agreement with Ligue 1 side Sochaux to sign Egyptian player Ahmed Samir Farag on a 6-month loan, the African champions said.

Ahli have reached an initial agreement with Ligue 1 side Sochaux to sign Egyptian player Ahmed Samir Farag on a 6-month loan, the African champions said.

“The decision to sign Farag is nearly final, we just need the approval of the football committee,” Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri told Filgoal.com on Tuesday.

The former Ahli youth player has been shortlisted for the 2005 CAF Young Player of the Year award along with Nigerian duo Taiwo Taye and Obi John Mikel.
