Ahli striker Emad Meteb will replace playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika in Egypt’s starting line-up for Tuesday’s Group A game against Morocco in the African Cup of Nations, a national team source said.

“Abou-Treika will be benched and Meteb will join Mido up front while Amr Zaki will fill in for Abou-Treika in the playmaker role,” an Egyptian team insider source told Filgoal.com on condition of anonymity.

With the exception of Abou-Treika, coach Hassan Shehata is expected to field the same line-up he did for the opening game against Libya, which Egypt won 3-0.

Egypt are in charge of Group A on three points while Morocco hold third spot after losing to Ivory Coast 1-0.
