Aston Villa chairman Doug Ellis has said Hamburg will have to meet his terms before Czech international Milan Baros is allowed leave the club.

The 24-year-old striker has received bids from a German outfit called Hamburg, but Ellis insisted the current offer is too low to consider.

"We met with representatives from Hamburg at their request, but their valuation of Milan falls way short of anything that's even remotely acceptable," Ellis told Aston Villa's official website.

"We're certainly not going to sell Milan Baros on the cheap and they've now gone back to Germany. We'll wait to see if there are any further developments."

Aston Villa paid Liverpool £6.5 million ($12 million) for the Czech striker last summer and he finished the season as the club's top-scorer with 12 goals.

Milan has two years left on his contract with Aston Villa, granting Ellis an extra bargaining chip against Hamburg.
