"The best team around at the moment are Barca," Barcelona official website quoted Zambrotta, who conducted his first training session at the Nou Camp, as saying.
Zambrotta joined Barcelona from Italian giants Juventus after they were demoted to Serie B for their role in the Italian match-fixing scandal.
The 29-year-old defender said he was very pleased with the atmosphere in Barca's training, emphasizing its differences from Italy.
"We enjoy ourselves and I think that's important. They play more possession football. It is different to the way things are done in Italy, and I will need to adapt," he said.
The Italian international, who can play either in the left or the right flank, said he is ready to play any position.
Zambrotta played a pivotal role in helping Italy win the 2006 World Cup for the fourth time in history.
