"I will probably continue with Ittihad beyond this season," Farouk told FilGoal.com on Monday.
"The club have accepted my request to add a clause to the new contract to allow me to depart in case I receive an European offer.
Reports linked the 27-year-old striker, whose contract runs out at the end of the season, with a move to Petroleum club Petrojet.
However, Farouk said he is expecting an offer from English third division side Southend, where he had a trial few months ago.
Farouk is Ittihad’s top scorer in the Egyptian League so far with four goals.
