Podolski has also revealed he supports Spanish giants Barcelona, referring to his desire to please the Catalan fans by dumping their local rivals out of Europe.
"I'm a passionate Barcelona fan; I want to cause their fans pleasure," Podolski told German daily Bild on Monday.
"That's also another reason for me to beat Real Madrid."
The 21-year-old striker has regained his form since the arrival of coach Ottmar Hitzfeld who succeeded Felix Magath at the Bavarian helm.
Podolski scored a goal and dished out two assists helping Bayern to a 3-2 away win over Hertha Berlin the German Bundesliga on Saturday.
Bayern Muncih will host Real Madrid on Wednesday in the round of 16 at Allianz Arena, having lost 3-2 to the Spaniards at Santiago Bernabeu in the first leg.
