Chelsea came from behind to earn a 2-1 home victory over visitors FC Porto in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday and book their place in the quarter-finals.

Argentine midfielder Lucho Gonzalez beat the offside trap with a deft pass to put Ricardo Quaresma through before the rapid winger slotted the ball home past Petr Cech to put the visitors in front after 15 minutes.

Chelsea pushed forward in a bid to level the score but couldn’t impose threat on Porto’s keeper Helton.

The Brazilian keeper was to blame for Chelsea’s equalizer three minutes into the second-half when Arjen Robben’s 30-yard shot bounced off his arm before going into the back of the net.

Chelsea grabbed the winner 11 minutes from time when Shevchenko flicked Drogba’s header in the path of Michael Ballack who brilliantly volleyed the ball past Helton.
