Ahli have decided to escalate Sherif Ashraf's case as they revealed their intention of taking a legal action against the player.

The 19-year-old striker has signed a four-year-contract with Zamalek but the Red Devils claimed he has already been assigned to their youth team for the upcoming season.

But the Ahli youth team top marksman opened fire on the bosses accusing them of falsifying his signature.

"We will make a plea to the Egyptian Federation asking them to refer the case to a court of justice. We want the matter to be cleared and whoever made mistakes or frauds should be severely punished and excluded from the sport's field," Ahli's marketing manager Adli Al-Qaeyi was quoted saying on the club's website.

"We preferred to make our claim to the EFA because it is the Egyptian soccer governing body and they have the rights to take the affair to justice."
