Ronaldinho gets Spanish passport

Brazilian ace Ronaldinho has been granted the dual nationality by Spain after spending four years with Barcelona, said the club on Monday.

Brazilian ace Ronaldinho has been granted the dual nationality by Spain after spending four years with Barcelona, said the club on Monday.

The Catalan forward went to court and was granted the citizenship and so he will be no longer counted as a non European player.

Coach Frank Rijkaard has now only three foreign players Cameroon Samuel Eto'o, Ivorian Yaya Toure and Mexican Geovani dos Santos.

The latter is next on the list to get the Spanish passport also which means that the Dutch coach will have a place for another non-European player.
