Juventus midfielder Mauro Camoranesi is facing the fear of being sidelined for more than a month because of a muscular injury picked up last Sunday when he played against Udinese 1-0.

The 30-year-old player had to leave the pitch after 30 minutes with muscular pains.

According to La Gazzetta dello sport, Camoranesi pulled a muscle in his right thigh as a consequence of his big efforts and fatigue following two Euro 2008 qualifiers played last week against France and Ukraine.

"Unfortunately we will miss him for a long while," coach Claudio Ranieri told La Gazzetta dello sport.

"I was uncertain whether to field him from the start or bring him on later, which probably would have been better. But everyone is right, with hindsight."

The World Cup winner is waiting for the X-rays before evaluating the damage that will keep him out for at least four weeks.
