Ismail Youssef does not mind staying with Al-Wehdat after the Jordanian club rejected the possibility of the Egyptian manager joining Zamalek as an assistant coach.

"My contract runs out at the end of the season, I can't leave without Al-Wehdat's approval," Youssef told FilGoal.com on Thursday.

Zamalek approached Youssef for the vacant position following the Cairo giants' recent disappointing results under new manager Ruud Krol.

Youssef accepted the offer but was waiting for Al-Wehdat response, which was not in his favor.

"I have no alternative but to stay in Jordan because Al-Wehdat are insistent on their decision," the former Egypt Olympic team coach added.

Ashraf Qasem and Ayman Mansour are now frontrunners to assist Dutch tactician Krol.
