AC Milan were boosted by the news that Ronaldo should be fit for full training by the start of January after he suffered a series of troublesome injuries.

The 31-year-old is currently in Brazil for treatment with consultant Jose Luis Runco, who confirmed that Il Fenomeno is on the mend from a calf injury.

"He had a first grade calf strain, but now it is healed and we are in the final phase of physiotherapy," Runco was quoted by Calcio Italia.

"On January 2 he will be in Dubai to train alongside the other Milan players."

The Rossoneri squad are currently in Dubai for the mid-season training camp, after which they will resume their Serie A campaign on January 13th.

Flamengo Offer

Meanwhile, Brazil's Flamengo are hoping to snap up Ronaldo from Milan, claiming that the former Cruzeiro striker is open for a return to the Brazilian Serie A.

"The interest is reciprocal. I have already spoken to Ronaldo, he wants to play with Flamengo," Flamengo vice-president Kleber Leite was quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport.

"In two weeks time we will present him with a final offer. We have nothing to say to Milan. We will not deal with them. It is up to Ronaldo to resolve his contract."
