Zamalek assistant coach Ayman Mansour has rebuffed on Wednesday reports linking Etoile Sahel right-back Saber Ben Frej with a move to the Cairo giants.

"We are not interested in signing Ben Frej. These reports are totally inaccurate," Mansour told FilGoal.com.

"I don’t think Zamalek have the intention of opening talks with the player."

Egyptian TV presenter Ahmed Shobeir claimed that the 28-year-old will arrive in Cairo on Monday to undergo a medical with Zamalek.

Ben Frej’s arrival is highly unlikely especially after the men in white signed Konyaspor right-back Mohamed Abdullah.

Zamalek will also have to offload one of the foreigners at their ranks if they are to sign Ben Frej.

The club currently have Tunisian defensive duo Wissem El-Abdi and Yamen Ben Zekri as well as Jordanian left-back Khaled Saad at their disposal.

Meanwhile, Mansour said he doesn’t think striker Amr Zaki will file a complaint to the Egyptian FA against Zamalek for not receiving his dues.

"It is true that he is yet to receive his money but this is because there are things which need to be sorted out between Zaki and the club," he concluded.
