Democratic Republic of Congo, who will face Egypt in a World Cup qualifier, held Algeria to a 1-1 draw in a friendly game on Wednesday.

Dieumerci Mbokani put DR Congo ahead in the 25th minute but Algeria equalized through Kamel Ghilas' late penalty.

African champions Egypt play DR Congo at home in their World Cup qualifiers' opener on the 20th of May.

Elsewhere, Tunisia secured a 2-0 victory over Nations Cup finalists Ivory Coast in France.

Slavia Prague on-loan midfielder Tijani Belaid opened the scoring ten minutes after restart before Radhouane Felhi sealed the victory in the 79th minute.
