Ittihad chairman Mohamed Moselhi rejected rumors suggesting that the Alexandria giants are receiving favors in order to save them from relegation.

Ittihad's shocking 1-0 victory at Petrojet last week caused many to believe that it was the first episode of the end-of-season match-fixing speculation.

"Ittihad enjoy great support from people all over Egypt, the same goes to Masri, but this does not mean that there are any favors," Moselhi told FilGoal.com.

"It is absolutely rubbish, I don’t believe our team is getting any special treatment in the league."

The crucial Petrojet win helped Taha Basri's team jump three spots to get off the relegation zone, two points clear of rock bottom Baladeya.
