Holland will miss winger Ryan Babel in the Euro 2008 after he tore ankle ligaments during training, the Dutch KNVB said.

Holland coach Marco Van Basten is yet to announce a replacement for the Liverpool man, who is expected to be sidelines for several weeks.

Holland drew 1-1 with Denmark on Thursday, in preparation for their crunch Euro opener with world champions Italy on June 9th.

The Oranje will compete in a tough Group C, including France and Romania as well.
